- Ahold has successfully completed the acquisition of the outstanding shares of Chilean supermarket chain Santa Isabel S.A. that it does not already own. Prior to making the tender offer, Ahold owned a little over 70 percent of the company; it will now own about 97 percent of Santa Isabel.
