The Lansing State Journal reports that Michigan State University is launching “what is believed to be the nation's first comprehensive Web site that allows people to report suspected food poisoning. The site is:

The goal of the site is to get local residents from a three-county area to report their illnesses to the university, allowing the experts there and community health departments to track illnesses and behavior and therefore stop the spread of food-borne illnesses by informing the community at large.
