- McDonald's Corp. named Ralph Alvarez to be the executive vice president and COO of McDonald’s USA, overseeing the company's more than 13,000 restaurants in the United States. The position is a new one; previously, Alvarez was responsible for some 4,300 restaurants as president of the U.S. division's central region.
