The Associated Press reports that the In-N-Out burger chain is being sued by a 12-year-old girl who needed 17 days of kidney dialysis for an E. coli infection contracted after eating at one of its restaurants.

The girl is being represented by the same lawyer who got multimillion dollar settlements out of both Jack in the Box and Odwalla Juice over E. coli outbreaks.

The lawsuit seeks damages of $250,000 in medical expenses, future costs related to medical expenses, and unspecified punitive damages.
