PepsiCo Inc. confirmed that late this summer it will launch its own vanilla-flavored cola drink to compete with Coca-Cola’s highly successful Vanilla Coke.

PepsiCo also will introduce Mountain Dew LiveWire, an orange-flavored drink, just for the summer months.

As part of its marketing plans, the company will bring out a refrigerator-friendly pack, have a tie-in with “The Hulk” movie, and even sponsor a WB Network TV show that will offer $1 billion as the ultimate possible prize.
