• Lakeland Now reports that Publix Super Markets is planning a major expansion in its hometown of Lakeland "as it takes over a fourth building to create a 'technology campus' for its information technology workers.
According to the story, Publix already has some 1,200 IT workers in the community, and the new expansion is expected to add several hundred more to its payroll.
