• Scott Drew, the president of Chedraui USA-owned Smart & Final, announced his retirement from the company where he has worked since 2010. The retirement is effective tomorrow.
According to the announcement, "Carlos Smith will continue to serve as CEO of Chedraui USA with Sean Mahony, Senior Vice President of Store Operations; Matt Reeve, Senior Vice President of Sales & Merchandising; and Dan Matarelli, Group Vice President of Chedraui USA Marketing, now reporting directly to him."
• Amazon announced that Panos Panay, most recently EVP and Chief Product Officer at Microsoft, is joining the company "to lead the Devices & Services business when Dave Limp retires from Amazon later this year."
