I recently had the opportunity to visit a Loblaws store in downtown Toronto, occupying the second floor of a mixed use building that originally was built in 1928.  In addition to more than 800 condos, the building serves multiple offices that include those used by Loblaws Digital employees.  It is an impressive store - bright, well merchandised and with a great graphics package that stands out without overwhelming the product.  If I were a retailer, I certainly wouldn't want to compete with these guys.
