Tom Furphy texted me last night, as the Rangers were celebrating their win, about how a year ago we would've been thrilled to know that both Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom would be getting World Series rings. Which they will. Though not with our team, the Mets, for which they were both playing a year ago.
Oy.
